In September, 23-23, in the sport complex “Olympic” in Donetsk took place the 15^th European Athletics Championship among police officers. In the championship took part athletes from 16 countries. In the team event in the championship won Ukrainian athletes, winning 35 medals (17 gold, 13 silver and 5 bronze). The runners-up were representatives of Germany: 23 medals (9, 7, 7), and the third place went to Russia: 6 (3, 1, 2).
